The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.
Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes a huge number of students. This index doesn’t take into consideration students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading perception. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare educational institutions.
The student-to-faculty ratio at York Technical College is 18:1, that means that for every 18 students the institution has one professor, lecturer or specialist with a degree in education. Lower student-to-faculty ratio is better - it means that professors can dedicate more time and attention to each student.

Student Reviews and Ratings for York Technical College
Losing my transcripts and then telling me to pay more money is absolutely ridiculous. They failed to do their simple task and now want more money to send my transcript electronically because they wont allow any student to pick up a sealed copy. Also i dont appreciate the better than you attitudes that are given from these people! If you cannot do your job its not my fault and i should not have to pay to have the job redone period. This school is a joke!Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
I thought this school was good because I was saving money on general education classes and they had transfer programs. Going to the student services building is a nightmare because you'll get a different answer to the same question each time it's asked. My financial aid account has been messed up numerous times, one day my tuition is paid in full and the next day I owe money. Money should be spent more on finding employees who know how to do their job rather than advertising.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
I had a great experience there! I really had some good instructors. My public speaking class was by far the best class I've ever had! They were accommodating when I ran into snags. The people working in the tutoring center, especially Floyd, were amazing! Everyone was friendly and helpful. The only one thing I wished they had offered was some counseling toward choosing a program in the beginning. I had imagined that would be a standard thing, but you have to choose by yourself. Otherwise, I very highly recommend this school!Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
I’ve been going to this school for three semesters and I’ve had two good teachers out of the nine that I have had. No on responds to emails in a timely manner and none of the teachers are very helpful. I was not even on one of my teachers rosters to which my advisor said “make sure you are emailing the right teacher.” This school is a joke, if you can go somewhere else I highly recommend avoiding this place.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
Haven't even taken a class here, but..Hardly accepted any of my 120 credit hours after nearly losing one of my transcripts. There was a long delay in processing credits, and after I went back in for the third time, they had to reevaluate each class individually because admissions made mistakes.Web pages constantly have errors and deadlinks. Had to deal with a block on registration, then was charged the wrong price for tuition. First number the secretary told me to contact had a full mailbox. Went into York Tech in person and was told the registrar was at a meeting. Was given email address and was told I need more paperwork and an invasion of my privacy after several days wait. All for one extra class because I've decided to take program elsewhere. I was trying to save just a little bit of money, but if they want to play games, they will not earn any money. Not a good impression.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
