Graduation Rate

Wichita State University graduation rate is below the national average.

45% of full-time students enrolled for the first time to Wichita State University completed the education program and got a degree in 150 percent of the expected time of completion.

The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.

Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes an extensive number of students. This index doesn’t consider students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading perception. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare educational institutions.

Student Reviews and Ratings for Wichita State University

Overall Rating:

Overall Rating:

Where to begin? Wichita State University, the place where dreams are made... or stomped on, depending on if you have gotten out of your first choice of major yet. The biggest downside to the university is the width of the parking spaces. I swear the spaces are at least 6 inches smaller than the average space. This makes parking a real hassle, especially when trying to get into the university anytime before 10:00 a.m. considering I am a pretty high maintenance guy. The best part about the school however is that the wildlife is pretty friendly, unless you try to pet the squirrels, they don't like that. Another thing in the school's favor is that there is always a Greek life association attempting to indoctrinate you into their family. This makes the students feel very welcome on campus. Overall WSU is a super legit campus and I'm super glad that I go there.

Overall Rating:

WSU is all about finding any way possible to get as much money out of their students as they can. Parking is terrible, transferring is a huge pain, tuition is WAY overpriced, adviser's are not very helpful. They do have some good teachers though.

Overall Rating:

I went here for my bachelors. It's a great school with great teachers who want to see you succeed. I liked it better than K-State.

Overall Rating:

Went to college here for a year. Beautiful campus, great dining, excellent staff, and an overall good experience. There are many clubs to get involved in and so many campus activities. Many of the buildings are modern, including the Student Center and the Dorm. The Dorm- Shocker Hall- is an incredible place to live. When I left, they had just finished building the new Flats on campus, which look amazing as well. Overall, a great college with a beautiful campus that’s relaxing to walk around at night. Many cool sculptures as well!

Overall Rating:

I got both of my graduate and undergrad degree from Wichita State, and I really liked my experience. Wichita State has a beautiful campus, lots of student organizations through which students can get involved, there are always some activities & events going on on-campus. The campus is full of diversity. Instructors are pretty decent, helpful, most of them really care about their students success. Class sizes are not too big for most of the classes. Overall, I had a great experience.
