Western Texas College graduation rate is below the national average.
51% of full-time students enrolled for the first time to Western Texas College completed the education program and got a degree in 150 percent of the expected time of completion.
The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.
Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes an extensive number of students. This index doesn’t take into consideration students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading perception. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare schools.
The student-to-faculty ratio at Western Texas College is 16:1, that means that for every 16 students the institution has one professor, lecturer or specialist with a degree in education. Lower student-to-faculty ratio is better - it means that professors can dedicate more time and attention to each student.

Student Reviews and Ratings for Western Texas College
The staff at this school is over the top when it comes to helpfulness, being polite, and caring about the students. I've called them 5-6 times with various questions and they have been more than great.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
This school racially profiled a young female athlete based on her nationality. She is a hard working, dedicated and humble student whose only desire was to play basketball. Coach Davis singled her out and wanted to move her in with the soccer team so she could be with the "Mexicans". Basically if you're Mexican, don't join coach David's basketball team and don't reach out to athletic director Davids, because for obvious reasons you know what side she'd take.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
I attended WTC via Distance Education Online (2012-2015) and this past December finished an AS with a Concentration in Pre-Nursing. I have had a couple of issues here and there (mostly with Financial Aid and VA/Hazlewood Benefits) which was not fully the schools fault, but it was nothing extreme or out of the ordinary as anyone would deal with, with any school. But I think with taking courses online, with it being a smaller school therefore a smaller faculty and staff, and trying to catch someone at any given time is just a problem that will occur regardless of school of choice, which was a problem but still manageable and solved by communicating via email. However, I can say that overall the faculty and staff at this school have truly gone above and beyond to help me, as other students to make sure everyone is successful and has a wonderful experience with obtaining their education, and attending WTC. WTC truly is a great school whom has employed wonderful people who love their jobs, offering a decent and affordable education.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
Truthfully, I tried looking into the school online through their website since I live a long distance. Their website is in need of a major overhaul , not very helpful at all and not friendly by any means. Very vague on what they offer and it's like looking for a treasure in treasure hunt. They have a webpage that looks like one of those domains that is up for sale. No images, or any kind of advertisement of what they offer. I actually thought I clicked on a wrong address link.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
Great school, studied Criminal Justice with them and they have some awesome programs to offer, so you can still be local. Go see what all they have to offer.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
