The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.
Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes an extensive number of students. This index doesn’t take into account students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading perception. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare schools.
The student-to-faculty ratio at Western Iowa Tech Community College is 15:1, that means that for every 15 students the institution has one professor, lecturer or specialist with a degree in education. Lower student-to-faculty ratio is better - it means that professors can dedicate more time and attention to each student.

Student Reviews and Ratings for Western Iowa Tech Community College
I go to University of Iowa and I wanted to get some classes done online at WIT in the summer. I applied and received an email saying I should be getting an email back from WIT regarding my login but weeks later I still haven't recieved anything. I called and was placed on hold for an hour and still no one picked up. And mind you I took online classes at WIT before when I was in high school. I called them regarding my login same thing happened and so I left a voicemail. I didn't recieved a call back until 2 weeks later. I don't understand because University of Iowa is 10x bigger than WIT but when I call any department, they either pick up right away or call me back the same day.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
This is a good college if you don't have any problems with math courses. When I registered at the college shortly after graduating high school in 2012, I was placed in basic math. Math was at the moment my only barrier to getting an associate's degree. I was passing my other courses, but that doesn't matter since I am an autistic who has an issue with math and whose strength is writing. I want to go back and get a degree in writing to improve my skills and get a career, but that can't possibly happen.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
I went to WITCC for two years & earned my Associates Degree. I transferred to another school to get my Bachelors Degree & the transition was incredibly smooth! I saved a ton of money by choosing WITCC for my first two years & got to keep my laptop after graduation. I highly recommend WITCC to save lots of money on gen ed classes. Especially if you are undecided on a major. Great school!Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
They offer classes to people of all ages! I started taking classes when I was 16. They work with local high schools to allow high schoolers to get free college. What a cool idea! People and staff are friendly, the other day I had car troubles and one of the professors offered to help. Nice campus! I love the disc golf course!Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
I have a good college experience here. I came here not knowing very much about the language and everyone here helped me. I got my associates from here and then transfer to another college. The transfer was so smooth and hassle free. My teachers were amazing and helpful. The trio program was also very helpful for me. I never have problems with financial aid because I was always able to communicate with the department.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
