89%
ABOVE AVERAGE

Westchester School of Beauty Culture graduation rate is above the national average.

89% of full-time students enrolled for the first time to Westchester School of Beauty Culture completed the education program and got a degree in 150 percent of the expected time of completion.

The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.

Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes a huge number of students. This index doesn’t take into consideration students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading picture. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare institutions.

Overall Rating:

I have had the pleasure of visiting several times, and all my experiences were always professional. Patty and John are very attentive to both the customers and the students. I was assigned a student by the name of Alex and I had a color, cut, wash & blow, she was outstanding. I see her graduating with honors and getting her license in no time. The students conducted themselves in a professional manner at all times, looking forward to my next visit.

Wanted to help a mom out who has 2 daughters. It is April and mom let me know that she has been trying to maintain their braids since November. Their hair desperately needed to be washed, conditioned and styled. Mom was worried and kept stating that she did not want to take out the braids until she had the money to have it rebraid because her youngest daughters hair was according to mom, way too short to do anything else with it.When I spoke with the owners of the beauty school they were so kind and reassuring to mom. They washed, conditioned, blow dried and flat ironed both girls hair. The girls looked absolutely beautiful bringing mom to tears. The owners did this for this family free of charge. Mom stated that the ladies who worked on her daughter's hair were not just professional but nice as well.

As a former graduate of Westchester School of Beauty Culture I will gladly acknowledge the incredible staff and learning environment that was provided at all times. During my time of studies with the school I really appreciated how the staff took their time with students to make sure we understood the importance of hair care, styling & techniques. If you are looking for a beauty school that cares about seeing the best of you being applied to your future career as a cosmetologist then this is it!!God Bless Taneisha Martinez
