Graduation Rate

12%
BELOW AVERAGE

Wayne County Community College District graduation rate is below the national average.

12% of full-time students enrolled for the first time to Wayne County Community College District completed the education program and got a degree in 150 percent of the expected time of completion.

The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.

Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes a huge number of students. This index doesn’t consider students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading perception. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare institutions.

I pray that I am Grateful for these services, but I am getting impatient with the cons. I really wish Academic Departments would respond a lot faster, especially Financial Aid. They are heartless and slow. The Academic services seem like a dead end. Its like they are going out of business, despite the fact, they are building that gigantic building. I cannot add, drop or get a transcript. They don't follow up complaints either. I am a straight A student, so it's, not my fault my account is always held up or some other issue, obviously, I care about my education. Another issue, besides that big old useless building they are building, is book prices. Berkley University Prices, do I need to say more. These issues seem to outweigh the good aspects of this school. This would be a five-star school and a five-star rating and better than going to Morehouse or Spelman if they will fix these issues: stop making the services seem like a dead end, make sure all financial aid is process with 3 weeks and put more heart into their work.

Overall Rating:

This institution cares nothing about the opinions of its students. I'm not sure why they waste time to do surveys if they just blatantly do not care. Instead of allowing a professor who is certified in teaching online, make her class hybrid for a few weeks, they changed the entire class, stripped it from the professor, and gave us a whole new stranger for the remaining 4 weeks. I'm appalled. Now someone who doesn't know us, or how we do things, is going to be teaching out class and giving us our final grade.
