Graduation Rate

Valencia College graduation rate is below the national average.

42% of full-time students enrolled for the first time to Valencia College completed the education program and got a degree in 150 percent of the expected time of completion.

The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.

Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes an extensive number of students. This indicator doesn’t take into account students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading picture. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare institutions.

Student Reviews and Ratings for Valencia College

Overall Rating:

I just contacted Valencia interested about their programs via chat, and after they sent me a very long text with a bunch of information, as I scrolled up and started to read, got another message from agent saying that he/she will discontinue the conversation due to no answer. That was very rude!!!! at the end of the day is my money I'll be paying to this college, for them to be so inpatient and desperate just because I was reading what they had sent. Very unprofessional!

Best place to start your education pathway. Love it in here. The instructors are very professional and caring for each student equally. I am so thankful for each professor I had.

Overall Rating:

Terrible school. They have clueless students working in the answer center, career center, etc. Some professors are good, some are terrible. Students are forced to take the strategies for success "new student experience" class as part of their communications requirement. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

I was enrolled in 3 classes and had a medical emergency that made me withdrawal while I was out of work for 6 months in recovery. I didn't get my refund check because they used higher one now to process refunds. I moved and even tho Valencia had my correct address higher one did not. After weeks of b's trying to get my money back and no results because of the address I went to discover and reclaimed my money only to have Valencia put me in collections. First time I ever want on to collections. 2 years later I'm still battling to get my 900 back. Currently on hold with Valencia for over an hour after they gave me a bad email to get my stale check back. Valencia was great before they switched to third parties for refunds. Now it's just such a hassle and hurt my credit for dropping 3 classes before they even started. Beware of the refund scam they got going on.

I love this college. The professors are intelligent and helpful. I wouldn't want to go to any other community college. They offer online classes for all the ones you can take online. The diversity of the students and professors are a plus.
