Graduation Rate

Valencia College graduation rate is below the national average.

42% of full-time students enrolled for the first time to Valencia College completed the education program and got a degree in 150 percent of the expected time of completion.

The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.

Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes a huge number of students. This index doesn’t take into consideration students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading picture. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare educational institutions.

Great college! Could not get a book to you on time if you ordered online but overall good.

Overall Rating:

Terrible school. They have clueless students working in the answer center, career center, etc. Some professors are good, some are terrible. Students are forced to take the strategies for success "new student experience" class as part of their communications requirement. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

Overall Rating:

I was enrolled in 3 classes and had a medical emergency that made me withdrawal while I was out of work for 6 months in recovery. I didn't get my refund check because they used higher one now to process refunds. I moved and even tho Valencia had my correct address higher one did not. After weeks of b's trying to get my money back and no results because of the address I went to discover and reclaimed my money only to have Valencia put me in collections. First time I ever want on to collections. 2 years later I'm still battling to get my 900 back. Currently on hold with Valencia for over an hour after they gave me a bad email to get my stale check back. Valencia was great before they switched to third parties for refunds. Now it's just such a hassle and hurt my credit for dropping 3 classes before they even started. Beware of the refund scam they got going on.

I love this college. The professors are intelligent and helpful. I wouldn't want to go to any other community college. They offer online classes for all the ones you can take online. The diversity of the students and professors are a plus.

Overall Rating:

I hate this place with a passion I literally pay to go here and I'm late to class every day no matter how early I come because they don't provide paying students ANYWHERE to park. There are an ungodly amount of parking spots for staff. But if you park in one of the many, many open spots they give you a ticket. This place is absolutely pathetic and sad and so bad to its students who pay good money to take classes there.
