Trident Technical College graduation rate is below the national average.
10% of full-time students enrolled for the first time to Trident Technical College completed the education program and got a degree in 150 percent of the expected time of completion.
The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.
Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes an extensive number of students. This index doesn’t consider students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading perception. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare institutions.
The student-to-faculty ratio at Trident Technical College is 21:1, that means that for every 21 students the institution has one professor, lecturer or specialist with a degree in education. Lower student-to-faculty ratio is better - it means that professors can dedicate more time and attention to each student.

Student Reviews and Ratings for Trident Technical College
Their staff (excluding professors) is rude! Mainly financial aid. When I’ve called financial aid I have been made to feel like I’m bothering them. I’ve gotten 3 or 4 different answers for the same question I’ve had for financial aid, they’re very unorganized, oh and not to mention the fact that while I may have messed up there in the past, I had to retake a lot of classes, finally get my GPA back up and thinking I’m all good to go only to be told I don’t qualify for financial aid anymore and have to pay for 20 classes out of pocket! I’m just a stay at home mom trying to do the best thing for me and my daughter. I literally can not afford to pay for 20 classes out of pocket. And no way in the world to appeal it unless I have documentation of a crazy circumstance that happened. I hate this school and would never recommend it to anyone wanting to be successful in life. When you start to get on the right track they pull the rug right out from under your feet.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
Most of the people complaining are the same ones who blame people and administration for problems that they could've avoided themselves. I moved from California straight to Charleston, and got into my classes right away. The staff is friendly, I never had a problem with the VA assistance, due to me doing stuff ahead of time instead of last minute, and the teachers are amazing. I will definitely update on how the process of getting my Associates degree and graduating is. IF YOU WANT SUCCESS ANYWHERE, TAKE THE INITIATIVE, and don't heavily depend on people to get where you want. If you want success in Trident, know what you want and what you are looking for, do your financial stuff ahead of time, TALK to your advisers because they are there for YOU! Advisers are the key to your success, they will answer any question you have about your classes and your schedule. There are also free tutors. TAKE ADVANTAGE!Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
If I could give ZERO stars I would. This school is completely unprofessional and full of BS. If you want to attend this college just for the purpose of transferring, DON'T. They'll instruct you that its okay to send off your transcript but they'll send it off incomplete and then tell you, you have to pay them again just to have the right one sent off. In my time here as a dual enrollment student, the only nice thing I have to say is their teachers (A very select few) and the trio advisor were immaculate. Otherwise DO NOT ATTEND. Go to ECPI, miller monte or something. Anywhere but hereSource of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
Put my kids in one of the summer cooking camps and they loved it. Teachers were friendly and my kids had a fun experience and learned a lot about handling food/ cooking. Will definitely be signing them up for more camps next summer.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
I called to inquire about the Nursing program and usually when a prospective student request information the staff is knowledgeable about the programs and is able to give you details and answer any questions. I asked if she could give me information on the nursing program and her reply was it's a 2 year program and you have to take the PAX test. I said is that all of the information you can give me? she said I don't know what else you want to know but you can look on our website. RUDE!!!Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
