Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes a huge number of students. This index doesn’t take into consideration students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading picture. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare institutions.
The student-to-faculty ratio at Top Nails & Hair Beauty School is 5:1, that means that for every 5 students the institution has one professor, lecturer or specialist with a degree in education. Student Reviews and Ratings for Top Nails & Hair Beauty School
I went there today and got my hair dyed. I wanted them to do a very specific style. It costed me 40$, and when I got home I realized they had changed very few things, and I left with the same color as I had when I came, the guy did not want to bleach my hair, what I wanted, and I could barely understand what he was saying. All over the place it said that their professors were keeping a close eye on them to make sure they were doing it right and I saw none. Thanks for wasting my hard earned money and time! Do not go there to get your hair dyed!!!Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
Worst salon experience EVER! I went to Top Nails because my usual nail lady was booked. I did a Google search and they were the first on the list, so I decided to give it a try.I walked in knowing that it was a school and didn't have salon professional expectations. I was greeted by a woman who was obviously a teacher or owner. I asked about powder dip on my natural nails and a pedicure. I had just taken my long acrylic nails off to let my natural nails grow. She kept insisting that i needed tips to make my nails even. I finally agreed for the sake of argument and asked for a price. She said 20.00. Okay, cool. She sat me down at a workstation with a woman who spoke no english. I tried to explain that i didn't want tips or long nails. Just a powder dip. She ended up applying tips anyway and performing half of the service before a teacher stepped in. The workstation was disgustingly filthy. Now it was time for the pedicure from hell. lol I was sat in a chair with luke warm water. She started filing my nails and trimming my cuticles. THEN she started digging into the side of my toenail with the nippers and cut a chunk out of my toe. Blood everywhere. I told her it was okay because she panicked. Next she gets the blood clot serum (that's what I'll call it) and touches my blood with the tip of the bottle. I immediately panic and wonder how many others peoples blood have been touched with this same bottle. SO DANGEROUS. It finally stopped bleeding and it was time for the massage. I am not even kidding when I say it lasted 2 minutes tops lol it was so short that she went and got the hot towel the wipe lotion off because she didn't rub it in. I'm annoyed and just want to leave at this point.Time to pay. I walk to the front and one of the teachers is up there shouting prices to the man ringing everyone up. He shouts 25.00 for her nails and 20.00 for her pedicure. I said, No, that's not what I was quoted and online it says 15.00 for a pedicure. The lady behind me chimes in "if it was 20.00 I would have just gone to a professional" The man responds with "no one keeps up our website" Not my problem. lol Anyway, I ended up paying 20.00 for my nails and 20.00 for the pedicure. I was ready to leave. I even left a tip. Here I am 4 days later with a swollen toe that's painful to touch and probably infected. GO TO A PROFESSIONAL FOR THE SAME PRICE!!Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
The technician that helped me did not speak English. It took 2 1/ 2 hours for a pedicure at the same price I could go to a licensed professional in 1/2 the time. No real cutical removal or cleaning under the nails. Could have done a better job myself. Never agai .Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
A superior experience! .I was overly impressed with my experiences there. The environment itself is relaxing and the staff is friendly, and waiting time was fairly short if there was a wait at all. As far as meeting with Sarah, she is very understanding at my inexperience with this and listen to all of my concerns, validating them if necessary. She is well knowledge and informative, giving me various options of treatment, leading me to the correct choice for myself and the best plan of action. I would highly recommend this place if any of you guys are looking for services like theirs. Best in state by far!Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
