Alright, let's get down to business.School Internet: Don't bother, it is absolutely garbage and it will be a nightmare to get anything meaningful done with it at any given time. it might improve a *little* on weekends, but honestly get service from an actual provider instead of getting scammed like this.Village Oaks Apartments: Depending on your level of patience, you may or may not want to live here, while they have made some improvements over my time of living here they've left me with a feeling of "two steps forward, ten steps back" with some of the decisions they've chosen to make. Most notably, when they were doing their renovations I was given very little notice and was expected to relocate to a different apartment, their "promised assistance" never showed up to help and I had to move all of my things by *myself* and in addition to this, take in new "required" furniture even though I had explained to them on multiple occasions that I had no room to place it. In short, if you have other living options, I would heavily consider them over this, but if this is your only option, it only *barely* meets passing.Lavaca Hall and other on campus apartments: I did not live in these other areas offered by TSTC, but I haven't heard anything positive about them either, would look elsewhere.Courses: I cannot speak for other programs for as far as their CMT program goes I cannot say I walked away with anything substantial at all. While all of the professors were very kind and very accommodating nothing felt particularly challenging at all. it was like you have to *try* just to fail a course, as if the only way you would walk away without any credit is if you just didn't show up at all. Conclusion: All in all.. Explore other education/living options

Whoever is in charge of the hiring recruiters for employment at TSTC, needs to be FIRED!! Some lady named "Melissa" left me a voicemail for a possible interview, and when I returned her call the next day, she abruptly rushed me off the phone and said she was busy at the moment and to call back in a few hours without a certain time or a follow up email. For the record, I'm not the average ghetto bird from the hood since I am perceived that way being an African American female. I am smart, motivated, and proud to be a State of Texas employee. So, if this is the way TSTC operates, then I'm not interested in UNPROFESSIONAL STAFFING!

Poor experience. Though the school claims to provide instructors with "real world experience" in the field they are teaching, it is simply not so. My C# instructor (by their own admission later) did not know the language or even how to use the primary tool (Visual Studio). My Microsoft SQL instructor had to be shown by the students not only how to install the software, but how to install the test data and create users and databases. To be fair, my C++ instructor was amazing. The lessons started with what was in the book but after that brief lecture, the rest of the lesson was what we will see out in the field.

Went here for the Diesel Equipment program and had a job two days after graduating for 21$ hr 40 hrs a week at Ryder. Some people think this school is a joke but it's what you make out of it. If you are interested and willing to learn, the instructors will help you but if you are lazy and want things handed to you, they're not going to waste their time. Small town college and I liked the atmosphere. I definitely recommend for people who like hands on learning.
