On December 23,2017 I deliver my child at downstate hospital. Labor and delivery nurses and doctors were so nasty and rude. While having contractions at 2 centimeters they were planning on sending me home, whitin 30 minuets I was at 7 centimeters and still on the triage bed. 5 minuets later I was 9 centimeters still in a triage bed. This was my fist child and the nurses would of love to make me think I wasn’t in labor, however I knew I was. Then the head doctor shows up with the biggest attitude, I can’t even tell you his name cause he never spoke, he just had his hands on his hip looking at me like I was the grinch that stole Christmas. If your having a baby don’t go to Downstate it was a horrible experience.

My mother went a few weeks ago. She was complaining of pain. We went to the emergency room. The staff was warm and professional. The er team was very attentive. They provided us with information in a timely fashion. My mother was admitted. The staff in the transplant wing were equally as pleasant. She had the have her gallbladder removed. The surgeon, Dr. Swartzman, met my mother and explained everything to her. His team periodically checked in on her. The surgeon was a success. The staff in the recovery section were very attentive as well. The entire hospital from the er to discharge treated my mother as one of their own. She was in great hands.

Went to emergency room with something stuck in my system (No need to go in full detail) After spending a number of hour's with doctors going over and over my dilemma l was discharged with item still in me. They said it probably came out. Still today years later item still in me. Doctors say just leave it there now. They were shocked that Downstate never scanned me. And to top it off Downstate put in my medical records in CODE that l was some kook. So if I go to emergency rooms in other hospital's around city Downstate slander towards me follow me. But there is NOTHING in there CODE with there incompetent service towards me. If you end up at Downstate bring your LAWYER.

Run as fast as you can from this place. When I was a patient here years ago I was treated horribly. They violated my privacy by exposing some personal information about me to other employees. The nurses were rude and I heard some of them making fun of me and other patients. They gave me the wrong medication because they misdiagnosed me and gave me too much medication for my height and weight. The incompetent social worker sent a home health aide to my house although I was in my early 30's and able to care for myself. Thank God I'm alive and well today and in excellent health despite what they did.
