The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.

Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes an extensive number of students. This index doesn’t take into account students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading perception. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare institutions.

I've been coming here for years, and only had one questionable haircut. Love the place!

I have been a client of another academy (over10 years) in the previous state I moved from to Kentucky Thus I was looking for a comparable experience at Summit Salon and Academy. I have never complained at this school until today!! Mistakes from the moment I walked thru the door! No one greeted me at the desk as no one was at the desk. Ok, I can deal with that. My long-standing stylist came to take me to her station and I’m always happy to see and experience Kays outstanding color, cutting and styling skills! She said “you’re here for a cut today??” I said no, my appointment is for a root retouching! She went to speak to someone and then started the color services. She as well as other stylists in salon have ALWAYS tinted my brows as well. Then she was told by a receptionist that her next client was waiting!! This was due to a mistake made when I called to make my appointment! Now Kay tells me another stylist (who I’ve never seen before) would be rinsing out my color and shampooing my hair! I was told by Kay she, Kay would be styling my hair! At the shampoo bowl the new girl burned me with water that was too hot! AND I also told her she had missed rinsing and shampooing my nape/neck line! After a VERY POOR styling job with incorrect products Kay came over to finish up the styling! I gave constructive criticism to the “learning leader” only to be told she (the new person) would be my stylist at next appointment! 🥵😡 Now I head to checkout expecting to pay the amount quoted to me on the phone and I’m told there a up charge of $16.75 for my brow tint!! WHAT??!! I was never charged any up charge in the past! Some new manager approaches me and insists I pay the fee! I refused and left the salon with badly styled hair and even worse customer service experience!!! This guy had NO CLUE what “the customer is always right meant!! So after 5 months of service, I WILL NEVER RETURN IN THE FUTURE!! Sad for Kay but her manager ruined it for her!! DO NOT GO TO SUMMIT SALON ACADEMY if you value yourself as a customer!! BAD, BAD, BAD 😟😔😢😢😫😠😡

Overall Rating:

The education you recieve is unstructured and not worth the money. A have noticed a large majority of the students are depressed with regrets. Must be able to teach yourself from a textbook to progress because thats the majority of the class. If i could go back i would not spend the money. It is not worth it. On the other hand i have came as an customer and been treated very kindly with satisfied hair cuts.

Paid for a girlfriend of mine to get her hair done here. Not only did they ruin her hair but they way over charged her. And for the instructor to then tell her that she would have charged her 500 if she did it. Wow. It's a beauty school. I'm beyond mad and she's now planning on cutting her hair off. Drama queen. But I understand how she feels. Her hair looks terrible.
