18% of full-time students enrolled for the first time to Southwestern Michigan College completed the education program and got a degree in 150 percent of the expected time of completion.
The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.
Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes a huge number of students. This index doesn’t consider students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading perception. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare institutions.
The student-to-faculty ratio at Southwestern Michigan College is 15:1, that means that for every 15 students the institution has one professor, lecturer or specialist with a degree in education. Lower student-to-faculty ratio is better - it means that professors can dedicate more time and attention to each student.

Student Reviews and Ratings for Southwestern Michigan College
Great two year college. The only problem is there is no way to access the library on weekends. Another is the dorms. Depending on where you are placed some people here are very trashy. There is a lot of drugs around and discussing people who could care less about educationSource of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
Affordable 2 year college with a nice campus and a great Student Activity Center.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
I just graduated from here, and transferred to WMU after. I loved every minute spent here. The staff was always helpful, my professors would always help me when I asked for help, and the campus is beautiful. I will miss my time here, but I will be much better off for my time here. I previously attended another local college, and had a horrible experience. Transferring here made a huge difference in me, and my education.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
My dad was able to go to kvcc out of district for cheaper than I went here in district. However the teachers are really friendly and helpful. The advisors on the other hand weren't so helpful. Nice campus though.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
Very good beginner college. I loved my time there. Most of the teachers were so thoughtful and understanding. One thing I didn't like was the financial aid office and the counselorsthat scheduled classes. They almost made me take a couple extra classes I didn't need. Be careful when you go to them!Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
