Southeastern Community College graduation rate is below the national average.
27% of full-time students enrolled for the first time to Southeastern Community College completed the education program and got a degree in 150 percent of the expected time of completion.
The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.
Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes a huge number of students. This indicator doesn’t take into consideration students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading picture. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare educational institutions.
The student-to-faculty ratio at Southeastern Community College is 16:1, that means that for every 16 students the institution has one professor, lecturer or specialist with a degree in education. Lower student-to-faculty ratio is better - it means that professors can dedicate more time and attention to each student.

Student Reviews and Ratings for Southeastern Community College
The only part of this school that was great is TRIO, they go above and beyond. Meal plan is too expensive and the dorms too restrictive. Treated like children. Been lied to by most of the administration. 4 months later, they still refuse to change my legal name in the system after I had it legally changed. There's always someone in your business and the more people you get to know, the more drama they try to drag you into. All of the classes are early high school level. Why bother going to college if you are repeating high school.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
Biggest joke of a school. Sets you up for failure. If you want to go to a community college, choose elsewhere.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
As a local automotive business owner, I've hired several students from the Automotive Technology program without any making it past the 90 day probation period we have. After many years of unsuccessfully finding a qualified mechanic, I decided to start taking classes myself to fill my own need for a mechanic. I really enjoy the classes and teachers, but the constant policy changes make it near impossible to be successful. I tried to meet with the Automotive Department head, but unfortunately policies change from student to student. I'm sticking with it, but the problem is obvious now, and it really is too bad as there really are some good teachers in the program such as Tim Hunter. It's still early maybe things will change.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
A smoke-free campus covered with cigarette butts. Attend this school to earn your degree and develop COPD from constant exposure to second-hand smoke. S.C.C. is a smoker's paradise.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
