South University-The Art Institute of Dallas graduation rate is below the national average.

The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.

Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes an extensive number of students. This index doesn’t consider students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading picture. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare schools.

Overall Rating:

The Art Institute is s huge scam. Do not attend this school run away! They charge a high price for low quality education. They do not care for the students and will make it difficult for you if you try to transfer elsewhere. Also all the”credits” received here will not transfer anywhere else. This is not a accredited institution, it’s a joke. They were also sued by the U.S government in the past. This institution screams money hungry. I learned more on YouTube and from workshops than I did here. Also the price for tuition is wrong its not $17,000 its 85,000. Extremely over priced.

I learned a lot when it comes to cooking here thanks to my teachers and chefs who put on the needed amount of time to share their knowledge to me.

This school is a Joke most of the Teachers don't care about you and most of the graphic design course work is done by using YouTube videos that you can find if you look hard enough so don't bother with this school go somewhere better.

Overall Rating:

Currently going to this school, it's super ghetto.. in the culinary department the ingredients are never fresh. Recently all the veterans got screwed over with the pell grant for this month, the school decided to change the school code a week before we got paid.... so now nobody knows when we will get that grant... Did a big project last quarter, the damn teacher never bothered to look at it so it never got a final yea this school is a joke... will definitely go to another school next year

Overall Rating:

This school will make many promises. Will sell you a dream. Then rape 70,000 in debt from you.Beware.A degree doesn't make you. Your work ethic does. They misled me. This school stated to me that I would find multiple opportunities in the working world. The school is supposed to know the market and industry.I know several MANY students with great talent who graduated at this school but are not professionals in their previous chosen industries. Why?Because you cannot learn enough at this school. The semesters are too short. This school fired the teachers that actually had talent. The price for the degree was ridiculous. I'm never paying that much for schooling again. I rather buy a house and study from the library than pay $100,000 for a degree. Even if it is a masters. If you want to study Fashion, go to New York, England or Tokyo, Japan. If you want to learn Film or Culnary? Better of in Hollywood or Cali. If you want schooling for animation go to California or anywhere where film animation houses are everywhere. If you want to be involved in games, you can find a better degree with a lower price tag & just as good on your resume.
