Graduation rate excludes an extensive number of students. This indicator doesn’t take into consideration students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. Student Reviews and Ratings for South Texas Vocational Technical Institute-Weslaco
Ok campus, amazing instructors, but career services needs a lot of improvement. More people looking for externship sites would be helpful. But everyone should keep in mind that you get what you pay for and the school programs aren’t pricey so.... yeah, overall super easy, and convenient. (Students who need hands on practice for universities medical programs, this school counts!) anyways, there’s a taco man every day so that helps!!Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
The education is good no complaint there. Lab work is limited depending on the size of the class, I suggest to new students take the initiative and stay after for tutoring, there is favoritism watch out for that (Dental Assisting Program) that caused me a lot of issues. Keep to yourself too much drama, best instructor is Ms. Lopez overall demeanor and instruction & tutoring she is more people friendly and will keep up with you at your pace! If you have doubt in yourself, stay focused you can make it effort is on your own merits down give up on yourself!Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
What i think about STVT is that everyone is just as very helpful as they can be. They try to focus on us, and what they actually do is that they contribute a lot. Its such an amazing campus!! They are very patient with each one of us. STVT is one of the best and what else can i say ? Our new instructor Ali is one of the best instructors such as Mr Chavez, and Mr Contreras!! i just loved this so much!!Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
As a student and a work study, I feel like this was a great investment. I loved the instructors, and each one takes their time to make sure you have understood the material. As a worker i feel like all the staff helped me learn and progress as an employee. I would really recommend this campus for any future prospects.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
The classes are very good, they prepare you with the proper skills. I'm very satisfied with the class and instruction. The career planning need some work as far as using material pertaining to job search. I believe it needs to concentrate more on resume and less on classroom activities. I feel I had what was necessary as far as class instruction goes. Need less power points and less essays. More on concentrating on job and interview practice.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
