Graduation Rate

South Central College graduation rate is below the national average.

22% of full-time students enrolled for the first time to South Central College completed the education program and got a degree in 150 percent of the expected time of completion.

The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.

Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes a huge number of students. This indicator doesn’t take into consideration students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading picture. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare institutions.

Student Reviews and Ratings for South Central College

Overall Rating:

First, I want to start this by saying I already had a Bachelors Degree and a Masters Degree when I enrolled at SCC. There are to many positives to list without turning this into a novel. The instructors are some of the nicest and helpful people I have ever met. The knowledge, and commitment to helping students succeed is top notch. If there is one thing I like the most it is the programs willingness to get students placed in good quality careers. This school literally changed my life. This is hands down my most valuable degree.

I am extremely dissapointed in the school everything was fine and going smoothly my first year the following year I had a little hickup with one of my classes tried to meet with a councler and when iI finall got to have a face to face meeting the office staff seamed to not care about what I was asking they just pushed the topic to a different note while not addressing my concerns, and now I am presently in the process of trying to get a phone conference with the admissions office and have been trying since the 6th of October calling and leaving voicemails practically begging for them to call me and still not a word I have called 4 times and left messages and as of yesterday's date of 10/10/18 I still haven't heard a word from them. The teachers are super helpful when it comes to class but the office staff have single handidly ruined my collage experience. Please if you are reading this take a good long time to read the rest of the reviews and consider other options before choosing SCC as your future collage
