ABOVE AVERAGE

Scott College of Cosmetology graduation rate is above the national average.

71% of full-time students enrolled for the first time to Scott College of Cosmetology completed the education program and got a degree in 150 percent of the expected time of completion.

The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.

Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes a huge number of students. This index doesn’t take into account students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading picture. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare schools.

Overall Rating:

No replies to emails, no straight answers in phone calls...VERY disappointed. No answers to questions for possible students; expected better from Scott's. A "Missy" has quite a snotty attitude. Very rude. Needless to say, we will be attending elsewhere.

A while back, I had this wonderful girl who colored and cut my hair. She still had time to go as a student and asked one of her teachers a few questions but it was nice that she didn't guess on what to do! She was very nice and did a wonderful job. I am going back today to just get my hair colored because everyone there was very nice. Worth the money and worth it to let the students get the practice they need! The mall was going to charge me at least $85 to get it JUST DYED! I think I paid about $40 after color, cut and a tip for the girl.
