Rock Valley College graduation rate is below the national average.
24% of full-time students enrolled for the first time to Rock Valley College completed the education program and got a degree in 150 percent of the expected time of completion.
The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.
Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes an extensive number of students. This index doesn’t take into consideration students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading picture. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare institutions.
The student-to-faculty ratio at Rock Valley College is 17:1, that means that for every 17 students the institution has one professor, lecturer or specialist with a degree in education. Lower student-to-faculty ratio is better - it means that professors can dedicate more time and attention to each student.

Student Reviews and Ratings for Rock Valley College
In the middle 2017 that was the best place to go I miss it there and they even have Papa John's PizzaSource of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
It was asked of me to tell people what I love about Rock Valley College, and my response is what's not to love about RVC. To be specific, I love everything about Rock Valley College.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
The school is great community college, somewhat ok range of classes but the biggest thing is the advisors. Needed help transferring and guidance but every question I asked was “ask the college” everytime. All they did was look at the program evaluation which I did at home already but except they didn’t even check if my registered classes were ok... Terrible Advisors.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
Most of the Professors are top notch. I learned so much from RVC and I can’t say the same about the school I transferred to.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
80% of the professors here are great! But customer service SUCKS! I've ironically taken a couple of customer service courses here. You'll call to ask a simple question & some 18 year old who doesn't even know what they are doing will hang up on you! Happens all of the time. Plus you will be sent to a random department that has nothing to do with what you need. I finished all of my Graphic Design classes 3 years ago & STILL haven't revived my Certificate. I tested out of Into To Photoshop (twice) & took Advanced Photoshop. Then they told me that I can't get my certificate unless I have Intro To Photoshop? The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. They loose paperwork like nobody's business. I spent 4 years at this school & it was pretty fun at times. The professors really care. But the accounting office needs to get their S*%T together.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
