Graduation Rate

Rio Salado College graduation rate is below the national average.

10% of full-time students enrolled for the first time to Rio Salado College completed the education program and got a degree in 150 percent of the expected time of completion.

The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.

Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes an extensive number of students. This indicator doesn’t take into account students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading picture. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare institutions.

Student Reviews and Ratings for Rio Salado College

Overall Rating:

Money-hungry school. Misleading refund policy on Rio Learn. Beware that for all their “late-start” classes you have 4 days to drop the class, BEFORE any assignments are due to even know if the class is right for you. In Rio Learn, it said “Last date to withdraw 3/31/2019”. I began the class 3/11/2019. Apparently the last date to drop the class with a refund was actually 3/15/19, 4 days after the start of the class. I called wondering where my refund is, they said I will not receive a refund. If I knew that I would not get a refund, I would have kept the class. I wish they would at least re-enroll me in the class because of confusion of the deadlines on the websites.

Visited the college to take a test for an agency. They cram alot into small buildings but over all the facility was impressive. My interaction with the staff that worked here was ok.

Overall Rating:

The classes are great. The staff are horrible. I've never experienced so many "no's" in my life from simple questions. This school has no flexibility at all, even though it considers itself a "flexible" school.

Overall Rating:

The experience I had with my counselor was great. They really care about you and the learning experience. I was able to get all of my undergrad courses I needed prior to transferring to ASU. I did have a hard time getting onto some of my courses, but the technical support was so helpful I was able to get in within the same day.

Overall Rating:

Taking classes at Rio is super convenient. The instructors are really understanding of situations and they always reply quickly when you have questions. I can’t speak for all instructors of course but I’ve taken many classes here and have had good experiences overall. Thank you for allowing flexibility 👍🏻
