I am currently 2 months from graduating from this college and it has been the MOST DIFFICULT and arduous journey. I am taking the software application technology associated program and let me tell you, whoever designed my course load didn't have a bigger picture in mind. I did c++ first and struggled with this class. I asked for assistance and was told by my advisor to schedule a tutoring session, on the day of my session the "tutor" that was assigned called me a couple hours before and adv me that he doesn't tutor in this class and in fact, there isn't a tutor for c++ currently. This left me to struggle through the class on my own (teacher didn't care to help or be tutor, not even sure she knew how to code). From there I went on and struggled through C# and Java (also with no available tutors for those classes either). After those 3 classes, I didn't have another tutoring class for like 5 or 6 months. Now, I am back in those classes but the "advanced versions" and I am struggling so bad and again, no c++ tutors to be found. Overall, they might be renowned for the nursing program but if you are going for a technology degree I would stay far away. They basically charge a tuition (double that of a community college) to give you an ebook and say here, read these 175 - 225 pages this week, do all the programming assignments and the only help you have is the examples in the book. You can't even go into the campus to get help because there are no teachers at the local branch for this major....... smh.

Terrible communication with students and misleading information. Not worth the time or effort.

Drove from Jacksonville, Fl to attend a Nursing session in Ocala. There was some work on the roads which caused me to be 10 minutes late. They wouldn't let me in the session. First expressions are everything and to have wasted my gas and time and not be allowed into the session is ridiculous.

Communication is poor and the financial aid process is extremely slow. The Fall quater is coming to an end and my account still hasn't settled. I have reached out to my advisor and financial aid with no answers to my questions yet. My advisor reached out to me when she needed me to do something but that's pretty much it.

Great experience with a college embracing cutting-edge, 21st Century technology to provide online degrees with an experience comparable (and in many ways, better) to traditional schools that are limited to on-campus instruction. Rasmussen is known for their leading Nursing programs that take advantage of both on-campus and e-learning but they also offer a number of great online Bachelor, Associate, and Certificate programs on a flexible platform that allows you to save money and graduate as quickly as you want and work at your own pace.I had contacted other schools in the area when looking to complete my Bachelor's degree in IT Management but when I experienced the level of personal care from the staff at Rasmussen, I knew I was in the right place. You're greeted by friendly staff who direct you to caring and knowledgeable advisors who go out of their way to get you enrolled quickly and easily. I genuinely can't believe how easy they made the whole process (Thank you Donna!) and they are always there when you need help.I am currently enrolled and they have every resource possible available on their online platform (library, 24/7 tech support, tutors, etc...). However, I do find myself on-campus sometimes using their computer labs and quiet study rooms where I see dozens of people working on their own or in groups. I am also taking part in their work-study program for some extra income while I'm studying, which is a great flexible program especially for students who don't want to work full-time while attending.Overall, if you want a great education from an accredited school with a lot of flexibility, campuses all over the Country, and a great support system, Rasmussen College is the place to be. I was recommended by a friend and I will recommend it to you. Use my name (or any current student) as a referral and you'll get a $1,000 scholarship to get you started!
