The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.
Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes a huge number of students. This index doesn’t take into consideration students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading picture. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare educational institutions.
The student-to-faculty ratio at Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics is 10:1, that means that for every 10 students the institution has one professor, lecturer or specialist with a degree in education. Lower student-to-faculty ratio is better - it means that professors can dedicate more time and attention to each student.

The school gave me everything I need to start in aviation. Sometimes it’s challenging and can be stressful. As long as you put your time and energy in to it, you can make it. Miss my time at PIA, was an awesome experience!!! If I had to do it again, PIA would be my first choice. Instructors will work with you, and the program creates work like environment. Instructors are fair, understanding, always willing to help, and very experienced in their fields. Equipment seems outdated on the surface, but all techniques and skills you'll develop here are still valid and used in the field today. Can't recommend this technical school enough.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
This school is excellent. They teach you everything you need to know to start off your career. And they are always helpful and try to help you understand and if one teacher/ staff can’t help they will find someone who can. Everyone, from the students to the staff, are very respectful.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
