Graduation Rate

Loading...
12%
BELOW AVERAGE

Phoenix College graduation rate is below the national average.

12% of full-time students enrolled for the first time to Phoenix College completed the education program and got a degree in 150 percent of the expected time of completion.

The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.

Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes a huge number of students. This indicator doesn’t take into consideration students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading perception. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare educational institutions.

Student Reviews and Ratings for Phoenix College

Overall Rating:

Overall Rating:

Done with the sixties and seventies styles of architecture this is a very cozy feeling community college in the heart of Phoenix. The buildings are old in comparison to just about everything else in the greater Phoenix area. The professors here tend to be very helpful. It is a very comfortable environment and I highly recommend it.

Overall Rating:

Jimmy is the best advisor I have ever spoken to! She was thorough in explaining my options and gave me alternatives for degrees that could be easier for me to complete along with certifications. In the past I've always been sat down for 15 minutes max but Jimmy didn't rush me out the door or look irritated at any questions I had. I'm beyond satisfied with this experience and the new auto system for waiting in line is amazing, letting you know your status in line, etc.

I have attended Phoenix college off and on for 5 years. I have found their business program is excellent and has knowledgeable teachers and would recommend their business classes. I would not recommend taking any psychology courses here. Unfortunately they don't has quality in the psychology department.

Overall Rating:

I took the medical billing and coding program. It's been 2 years searching off and on, you need to have 2 years experience to get a job. The class time does NOT count as experience, that's what I was told and it's not true. I have searched daily, for weeks applying several times a day and it's the same thing. Must have experience. Even with your certificate and the CPC. I dont recommend this program, just try to get your foot in the door with a company and work your way up. Teachers were good and some great, got the run around with financial aid.

Overall Rating:

I have never had so much trouble starting classes at any other school. You cant get through to anyone in Admissions because the line is busy all day. They never respond back to emails either, I shouldn't have to make an appointment everyday just to see if my transcripts have arrived. Nothing gets updated to the student center until i make these visits. This is really ridiculous and a major inconvenience. A little bit of assistance is all I ask for, I'm at the point where i just want to walk in the office and check the mail my damn self since no one else seems to be doing their job.
