PCI Academy-Ames graduation rate is above the national average.
68% of full-time students enrolled for the first time to PCI Academy-Ames completed the education program and got a degree in 150 percent of the expected time of completion.
The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.
Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes a huge number of students. This index doesn’t consider students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading perception. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare educational institutions.
The student-to-faculty ratio at PCI Academy-Ames is 15:1, that means that for every 15 students the institution has one professor, lecturer or specialist with a degree in education. Lower student-to-faculty ratio is better - it means that professors can dedicate more time and attention to each student.

Student Reviews and Ratings for PCI Academy-Ames
This is the first time I have had my hair done at PCI. The student and the teacher took time to find out what i wanted. The teacher went into detail with the student about what she needed to do. She explained things very well and the student understood exactly what to do. My hair turned out beautiful!!!! Very professional! I will definitely be going back and have recommended them to many of my friends as well as posting about it on Facebook and snapchat! Kudos to both student and teacher!!!!!Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
They blast the music heavy metal. Asked if they could put something else on and they refused. I asked who the manager was she said she didn't know. Last time I was here a couple staff members also voiced concerned about the music playing. They also said they were embarrassed. When you get your hair done you don't want to listen to hard rock music blasting. I will never be back.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
I’ve gone here a couple times, and will continue to. I love the people its a great environment. Yes I have had one “bad” experience where a mistake was made but they fixed it as soon as I mentioned it. I would definitely suggest going here.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
Took two and a half hours for the girlfriend to get a BUZZ CUT. After an hour and a half the instructor had to take over, and the student still insisted on taking a photo so she could take credit for "her" haircut. Even after all that, it was terrible and I did better with Walmart clippers. I know it's a school but how can you screw up a buzz cut, and I, who's never cut hair before, did a better job in 10 minutes.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
I understand this is a place of learning, though some things are just common sense. Like not over scheduling one student or under estimating the time the appointment will take, after a client is already there. The teachers do NOT help the situation, they are sassier then the students themselves; not professionals. I would not recommend going to PCI unless you know who you are scheduling your appointment with personally.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
