Overall Rating:

Overall Rating:

The most professional and knowledgeable staff. This is an unparalleled medical institution. The cafeteria food is little a little on the pricey side but you can't put a price on good medical care.

Overall Rating:

Friendly, only when they want to be. And very big hospital. My fiance had surgery on a rare tumor in his nasal cavity, causing breathing difficulties. But when he was in surgery we stayed in his room to watch and guard our stuff. Got kicked out so when he got out of a major surgery he had no room and they felt no need to keep him in the ICU. So talk to the board or top person of the hospital before letting them kick ypu out, yes there are waiting areas but they are always full. The tram is not recommended for someone who is deathly afraid of hights, I latched onto someone's leg. And yes I'm a chicken.

Overall Rating:

My team of doctors we're very understanding and accommodaing to my bloodless surgery request. They talked as a team together and with me about options in case something went wrong. The team really sat down and worked with me and my family with our concerns. The hospital itself is very large, can easily get lost, but very clean and beautiful artwork brings smiles to your face around every corner. The nursing staff were kind, sensitive and helpful. Love the doctors bedside manners, even though it took a little getting used to an entire team of people surrounding me during morning rounds. The private room was cozy and roomy for my large family and friends who visited. Food service was really my only disappoinment. Menu was hard for me to find something with my food sensitivities and when ordered it took an hour to receive the food every time and the food was cold every time.

Overall Rating:

Gave my brother fantastic care last week. All the doctors, nurse practitioners and nurses were professional, friendly, and caring. In fact all the staff were very helpful and accommodating. They have "over-sized" parking for bigger vehicles and that was very helpful also. However it was not monitored well on weekends so was often full of smaller cars.

Overall Rating:

There are a lot of reasons why this place is so great. I can specifically speak for 10A. The nursing staff is wonderful and kind and eager to help. They are quick to help their patients and do it with a smile. The people make this place! There are also currently nearly 800(!) volunteers total in the hospital that are there specifically to make patients' stay more comfortable. The volunteer program is well organized and that shows by the level of training and scheduling. And the view of Portland is awesome!
