Graduation Rate

38%
BELOW AVERAGE

Orange Coast College graduation rate is below the national average.

38% of full-time students enrolled for the first time to Orange Coast College completed the education program and got a degree in 150 percent of the expected time of completion.

The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.

Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes a huge number of students. This indicator doesn’t take into account students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading perception. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare educational institutions.

Incoming freshman. You people should stop judging an entire college based on one biased professor out of many others. Plus, you don't even go there. You saw a video on the internet and judged an entire school based on that one video. You clearly don't know how to review things.

There was all this buzz about the corpse flower with reports from media outlets to come see it days before it even bloomed. Then once it bloomed there was no additional information about viewing hours or that it wouldn't be shown past the blooming day, even though we were told several times that it will bloom for 2 days. There was lots of "please follow us on social media, and we can give you information," but again, no additional information and no response to inquiries when social media was checked. And parking signs were still up so it seemed still the possibility, but no flower in sight. Disappointment for my kids, but more a failure in the school's part for not following up.

Super friendly to local students, but if you were international, never apply here. IVC is a much better choice.

Didn’t like the education system followed at this school. The one on one interaction between students and professors was very poor. [Aviation Maintenance Program]
