9%
BELOW AVERAGE

Oakland Community College graduation rate is below the national average.

9% of full-time students enrolled for the first time to Oakland Community College completed the education program and got a degree in 150 percent of the expected time of completion.

The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.

Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes an extensive number of students. This indicator doesn’t consider students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading perception. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare educational institutions.

Overall Rating:

Horrible. A waste of money. All professors are lazy, don't care, or they are senile, old and out of it. Its high school part two. you get what you pay for. might as well teach your self.

I can only speak for myself, I graduated from OCC Orchard Ridge Campus in 1976. I went on to graduate from Michigan State University in 1978 with a BA degree in psychology, now having dual Master's degrees, and a Doctorate in Counseling. OCC with it's excellent faculty at the time encouraged me that I could do more with my life than I ever thought I could. Motivated me, taught me, and laid a foundation for what I am today...............Never give up, YOU CAN DO GREAT THINGS!!!

CANT GET A HOLD OF ANYONE. Phone numbers to departments are not online nor on their website. VERY frustrating when you want to make a quick call to get an answer. 24 minute wait when called in on main number ... just to get transfered. VERY INNEFICIENT!!! AND EXTREMELY FRUSTRATIONG AS A CUSTOMER

Overall Rating:

0 stars if I could. They are full of lies. I was told what classes and credits I need to graduate, but right before graduation I wa sn told that I need more. And certain credits that counted before don't count now. They find ways to get extra money from me, weather it's from books or extending a program without my prior knowledge. You may save money by going there to start, but it's not worth it. Go somewhere else where they want you to succeed!!!!
