Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes a huge number of students. This indicator doesn’t consider students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading perception. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare educational institutions.
The student-to-faculty ratio at Nova Academy of Cosmetology is 12:1, that means that for every 12 students the institution has one professor, lecturer or specialist with a degree in education. Lower student-to-faculty ratio is better - it means that professors can dedicate more time and attention to each student.

Student Reviews and Ratings for Nova Academy of Cosmetology
I got my hair cut and colored. My stylist was friendly but not too chatty. She did a great job. I had the best head massage too. She then colored my eyebrows and they are perfect.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
Friendly but knowledgeable staff and it didnt take forever either. Front desk was very helpful with prices and services. Abby did a great job cutting my heart.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
Sue (Suzette) did a great job with my ugly feet and toenails. Very meticulous and good conversationalist. Highly recommend.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
First of all, I decided to come here as a reward for passing the most important exam of my career because I figured it would be cheaper than a tattoo. WRONG. The prices listed online do not match up with the prices actually charged. My experience was long (over 4 hours) and unorganized. The student who colored my hair had to leave as soon as it was done so someone else cut it. This student was clearly frustrated at having to cut my hair and seemed distracted. Then a third person blow dried my hair. The child working at the front desk expected a tip for all three when literally anyone can blow dry hair. The end result of my hair is NOTHING like I wanted it to be and now I’m out over $100. The color job is uneven (the majority of my highlights are on the back of my head...who would want that?!) and the cut is only layered in the back and not the sides. Now I have to go to a different salon and hope they can help fix what these people screwed up. I’m not sure if I caught the students on a bad day or if their teaching is this bad, but I will not be coming back or recommending this place to anyone.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
I got my makeup done by Morgan Zwart and the result was beautiful! I liked that after every step she asked what I liked/disliked and if I wanted to change anything! She even wrote down the brand and color of the lip gloss because I loved it! Thanks for the great experience!Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
