Northwestern Technological Institute graduation rate is above the national average.
67% of full-time students enrolled for the first time to Northwestern Technological Institute completed the education program and got a degree in 150 percent of the expected time of completion.
The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.
Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes an extensive number of students. This index doesn’t take into consideration students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading perception. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare educational institutions.
The student-to-faculty ratio at Northwestern Technological Institute is 20:1, that means that for every 20 students the institution has one professor, lecturer or specialist with a degree in education. Lower student-to-faculty ratio is better - it means that professors can dedicate more time and attention to each student.

Student Reviews and Ratings for Northwestern Technological Institute
Graduated on January 4th. Got a lot of excellent "theory" based knowledge, as well as "hands on" training in a lab type environment. Furthermore, they have an "excellent" follow up staff that will assist you in finding a good paying position in the HVACR Field. Also, they, if you desire it, will set up an L.L.C. for you; even designing your own set of business cards for you. They're all "class", "Top Shelf"! I would encourage anyone thinking about pursuing a HVACR career, to at least meet with these people, it only costs you a bit of time to get the "jist" of their great program... 🔧Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
2007 Graduate Best decision made was to go here after taking the Ford buyout in 2006. Found a job in Texas (Michigan job market was bad at that time) I worked in the field as a tech for 5 years. I took the Texas mechanical contractor license exam. And started my HVAC/R business in December 2012. Business is great.(95% commercial HVAC and refrigeration) The only regret is not going to this school sooner. You get out of the school what you put in. If your not mechanically inclined and a go getter. This school is not for you.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
Do not go here. All they care about is your money and Oakland community college is a real degree and way cheaper!!!! Jessica the so called financial aid was very rude over the phone, they keep soliciting you to sign up by calling you over and over because they are so desperate.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
Great school, started for Michigan Engineered Comfort corporation which is all commercial and industrial heating and cooling work and started 2 weeks ago I graduate March 7th, they set you up for success, truly the school that works.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
One of the best decisions I've ever made was to go to Northwestern Tech. I got a job in the field before I even graduated and I feel like the school greatly prepared me for work out in the field. I never had a teacher or met a staff member here that I didn't like. They are super helpful and friendly. There really isn't a better school for HVAC in Michigan than Northwestern. Not a day goes by that I don't love my job and I'm happier than I've been in my entire life and it's all thanks to this school.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
