Graduation Rate

North Lake College graduation rate is below the national average.

10% of full-time students enrolled for the first time to North Lake College completed the education program and got a degree in 150 percent of the expected time of completion.

The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.

Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes an extensive number of students. This indicator doesn’t take into account students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading picture. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare institutions.

Great school, nice amneties and cheap

Overall Rating:

I had to complete an English 2 course which was being taught by an extremely rude, and unethically-biased professor who let the class know that he wouldn’t allow for a deserving student to pass the class if he personally was not fond of that student. I emailed an administrator months ago, to report this incident , and I still have not heard back about it.An online psychology professor also attempted to make rude remarks about immigrants on the online learning platform, and I’m not sure why or how he felt as welcome as he did to move forward in publicizing his intolerance, in that way. If this is the type of nonsense the college tolerates, supports, and openly welcomes, students truly need to look elsewhere for their education.

Stopped by here today to check on the testing center procedures for taking a college exam. I went by the cashier station and she did not know what I was talking about when I asked if she knew how I was to pay for the exam. Cashier sent me over to the test taken center who did not know how to administer the same exam. Eventually I was taken to another location where the individual there advised that they did not offer the exam at this location. I simply advised this individual that their location was listed as one that would offer the exam. This whole experience gave me the impression that somebody does not know what's going on but everyone I spoke to was very willing to help.

Overall Rating:

The way they used to distribute the transcript is changed. They started charging 5$ for college transcript per copy. The service is inefficient, lengthy, unhelpful, also the receptionist is rude telling it’s okay for her not telling the required instructions for requesting a transcript. As well as the people on the admission window are here just to spend their time. I went there at 10:30 in the morning and everyone was on break this early. Bad experience!
