Graduation Rate

Nassau Community College graduation rate is below the national average.

20% of full-time students enrolled for the first time to Nassau Community College completed the education program and got a degree in 150 percent of the expected time of completion.

The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.

Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes an extensive number of students. This index doesn’t consider students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading picture. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare educational institutions.

Admissions need to do a better job of handling student questions. They don't listen to what the issue is. Also the lady that answered the phone needs to quit if she doesn't like her job 🤷🏽‍♂️

Affectionately called Turnpike Tech by the locals. Overall a good community college. Majority of employees have DMV demeanor. Most need a firecracker inserted back side to motivate them. Beware of the food services group Culinart. They are biggest thieves. Food prices are the same as a going to a movie or baseball game. They bend the students over but good and show no mercy. Bring food if you can.

Just called the registrars office because I placed an order for transcripts for my 2 sons; Kathleen would not help me, told me to have the child call. I explained, they will come with their identification to pick it up, I would just like to know if it is ready. She hung up on me!

As a recent graduate, I can say NCC was pretty straightforward. If you came here and did what you had to do, you'd do fine. On the contrary, you decide to slack, you'd do bad. Most professors I had were pretty good. But use rate my professor because some can be bad. My favorite place to study was the library. It's spacious and quiet. Yeah as for food, you should eat off campus or bring your own. The food is overpriced and sub par..
