Graduation Rate

Mount Washington College graduation rate is below the national average.

28% of full-time students enrolled for the first time to Mount Washington College completed the education program and got a degree in 150 percent of the expected time of completion.

The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.

Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes an extensive number of students. This indicator doesn’t take into account students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading picture. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare institutions.

Overall Rating:

After having taken classes at other colleges I can say there is nothing extraordinary about Mount Washington College (Hesser College). There were some excellent teachers and there were some who were there only to get a check. I remember several classes being let out hours early on a regular basis, and the coursework being dumbed down when people weren't doing well. What I mean when I say this is that they want you to pass their classes and if there are more than a few students who aren't doing so hot, they'll change the coursework mid course to accommodate those who lag behind. I really feel that I spent an awful lot of money to learn nothing. My sociology class was awesome though, wish I remembered that ladies name. Her husband was a veteran. SHE was a great teacher.Don't count on your transcripts being processed in the stated "5-7" business days. The ladies in the registrars office are routinely backed up, bless their hearts. 17 days ago I sent a request and not only do I not have my transcripts, they haven't even been sent out yet. They have it, theyre just not processing it. They need to do some hiring, firing, or some combination of the two.

Going to this school has changed my life in so many ways. The staff is wonderful and many have gone out of their way on a professional and personal level. I was at a point where I almost transferred but end up staying. It's a very family orientated place.
