Montgomery Beauty School graduation rate is below the national average.
51% of full-time students enrolled for the first time to Montgomery Beauty School completed the education program and got a degree in 150 percent of the expected time of completion.
The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.
Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes an extensive number of students. This indicator doesn’t take into account students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading perception. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare educational institutions.
The student-to-faculty ratio at Montgomery Beauty School is 20:1, that means that for every 20 students the institution has one professor, lecturer or specialist with a degree in education. Lower student-to-faculty ratio is better - it means that professors can dedicate more time and attention to each student.

Student Reviews and Ratings for Montgomery Beauty School
Yeah, it was my first time there perhaps I’m just not familiar with operations. However, when I arrived an argument broke out between one of the teachers and the receptionist. In addition to the cold temperatures in the school. But, my biggest issue was the two lock twist hair style I care in for. Which should’ve involved a simple maintenance twist followed by the two lock twist. The student did my entire hair wrong, so all my twist fell out / unraveled by the time I got home. The students issue was she did not two loc twist in the “opposite” direction of the maintenance twist. If the maintenance twist is twisted in the same direction as the two loc twist, the two loc twist will not hold. This was later found on YouTube by me later that night. I ended up twisting my hair myself with that approach provided by YouTube and it worked perfectly. My twists never fell out. What was really annoying was the student complained to me that my twist were not staying in. She shared comments that there is something wrong with that top of my hair, because none of the twist she’d done would stay in. Rather not listen to defensive complaints that my hair doesn’t work right, when I’ve had the style before without any issue. That just didn’t make sense to me, especially when YouTube is gives everyone the answers.Let me know if you want to remove the above details that’s why I didn’t explain publicly my issues.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
Before spending money on financial aid, make sure that you explore all of your opportunities. If a school, any school for that matter, appears to be more eager to get you to sign off for financial aid, but does not take the time to provide you with updated and modern info about their school. By this, I mean, if your school is doing so great, why do you not have an updated and modern facility or literature about your school. I googled Montgomery Beauty School, located in the Wheaton-Siver Spring area, and I found absolutely nothing that made them stand out as a good and educational hair school. Hair is like technology and it changes with time. From the looks of their website, it seems like they are still stuck in the 90's. Just saying, if you have to spend money and pay it back (financial aid) get the most bang for your buck. Don't sell yourself short. Always look at the reviews of any educational facility. As a matter of fact, Google this particular facilty and you will see what I mean. Even their building facility looks run down...smh....MORE SO, THIS SCHOOL'S RESPONSE TO NEGATIVE COMMENTS IS AN AUROMATED MESSAGE FOR EVERYONETHAT SAYS THE SAME THING...CHECK IT OUT...BE SMART PEOPLESource of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
this school only care about taking your money, they have no interest in you learning, they don't teach they just Have you read in class while the "teacher sites there and does nothing. Many students drop out because they see it's a waste of time, for the Spanish students it much harder the non Spanish speaking teachers (blacks) ignore you since you know little bit of English. A class mate of mine was in her 6 month she went out to look for a job they asked her to show what she knew, only thing they teach is roloset,STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCHOOL! I would suggest you ask a hair stylist what school they attend and see about their experience thereSource of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
