Student Reviews and Ratings for Green River College

State certified, excellent training. Certifications for a career in welding for MIG and TIG as well as stick. Instructors are certified welders themselves, know the field and very reasonable cost in short time to get into a career in welding. Small class sizes so a lot if attention given to each student.

Modern welding was a decent school to get you foot in the door into welding. My personal experience was decent and the instructors were very knowledgeable but i felt it was it was rushed for most that had no experience welding and they pushed you though no matter what. At some points I was left on the floor with no intructor which delayed us a little. The instructors were very good at welding but I felt like they had trouble conveying the material and we're not always professional. On several occasions the machines brokeand I felt they were not well maintained and there was no backup units to replace. Another thing that happened was shortage of material. If you decide to go get all the certification you can.

I graduated from here when I was in my 40's. There was one other girl in my class. The staff were knowledgeable, helpful and patient. They were all about teaching safety and that impressed me.
