Graduation rate excludes a huge number of students. This index doesn’t take into consideration students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading perception. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Stopped by on a Wednesday for the free Veteran haircut- just needed my bangs trimmed. It was noon and I would've expected a wait at any hour with such a generous offer. Waiting is no problem for most Veterans or seniors. Wednesday is also Senior citizen discount day also. How very nice. Really. However, I couldn't believe the disrespect that I experienced at the front desk. Three female clerks were manning the desk but none greeted me. I spoke up and asked about the free veteran's haircut on Wednesdays and said I only needed me bangs cut. I even offered to pay for the trim if the Free cut for Veterans was unavailable. Even that curried me no service.Obviously the staff or students are not interested in customer service or hospitality. If you want to feel like two cents waiting for change- go ahead. But I will never ever go there or recommend their service to anyone. I would not hire a graduate from this school either... because they definitely do not promote or foster prompt, courteous service for their clients. So Minnesota School of Cosmetology- if you only want to serve non discounted patrons then don't offer a discount. Likewise, if you want to prepare your students for the real world_ then teach them how to respond to clients in a prompt, positive and cheerful manner. No amount of disrespect will ever be reversed once you've presented that face to your public.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
Went in for a scheduled pedicure at 7pm. As I checked in I was told that my name was not on the list. I received a confirmation phone call the day before so I was confused. I read on reviews before that people show up and then the appointments somehow aren’t scheduled, but was hopeful it wouldn’t happen. Sadly it did. The appointment got scheduled in the Plymouth location, despite me calling the woodbury location when I scheduled. Receptionist asked if I was willing to drive there (45 minutes away). I asked for a manager and a teacher came to speak with me. She said she could get it figured out; however 25 minutes later we were still waiting. My friend and I were told we needed to wait for the class to be done before they could set up; however it was not communicated up front that we would have to wait that long. We decided to cancel and just go out for dessert instead. Sadly we won’t be returning. Customer service was poor as It was received that I made the error.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
