The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.
Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes an extensive number of students. This indicator doesn’t consider students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading picture. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare institutions.
The student-to-faculty ratio at Mims Classic Beauty College is 9:1, that means that for every 9 students the institution has one professor, lecturer or specialist with a degree in education. Lower student-to-faculty ratio is better - it means that professors can dedicate more time and attention to each student.

Student Reviews and Ratings for Mims Classic Beauty College
Horrible experience. I went in for a relaxer and this woman insisted on putting a product on my hair that she claimed was needed prior to the relaxer to break down my hair. I refused it saying that is what a relaxer is for. She went on and on about it so I finally allowed her to apply it. Then a perm was put on directly after that chemical which caused my hair to start coming out. However, I did not immediately realize the correlation. The next two weeks I returned for a light brown rinse which I supplied. Little did I no they did not use my rinse but actually put straight dye, black dye even, in my hair. I started itching and swelling around my face because I am allergic to dye. I got suspicious because the girl kept mixing what she said was a rinse that was better than mine. I asked her was she sure she was putting rinse on my hair and she said yes. Well it was not, and they later admitted it when I realize my hair was gone around the edges, and I now had cowlicks on the side. I have been so distraught behind this deception. I asked the woman why she did not inform me that she was using dye on my hair and black dye at that we had discussed a dark or light brown. She said that would cover my gray better. I tried not to write this review but I am now nearly bald and I have never had my hair this short before. Devastated!Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™

I love the family feeling right when you walk in. It is so well respected being the oldest beauty school in Texas. You truly learn everything you need to know for your basic foundation and it had the best rate of students passing their tests. It may not look as flashy as others, but if you want a loving relationship with a group of wonderful women, then this is the school for you!Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
