    Graduation Rate

    Loading...
    40%
    BELOW AVERAGE

Midstate College graduation rate is below the national average.

40% of full-time students enrolled for the first time to Midstate College completed the education program and got a degree in 150 percent of the expected time of completion.

The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.

Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes a huge number of students. This index doesn’t take into consideration students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading perception. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare institutions.

MIdstate has gone down hill in the last few years due to new management. I imagine it will be going bankrupt soon. Beware!

      Overall Rating:

I have earned two degrees from Midstate. All of the staff were wonderful. From admissions, financial aid, instructors, advisors and program directors. I am still in contact with a few even after graduating twice from different programs. The classes are small so individual attention is a guarantee. The classes are flexible as well, I was able to keep my full time, day time job and get two degrees, where else can you do that? Everyone cares about your education just as much as you do. I highly recommend them!

Midstate College is one of the, “Best Kept Secrets” of Peoria and I am proud to be a Midstate Alumna. I attended a community college and a university before choosing Midstate, and neither their educational standards or quality compare to Midstate. The enrollment process is quick and my admissions and financial aid counselors answered all of my many questions. The college offers convenient class hours of day and night schedules as well as eLearning courses. I was able to complete my program while still working full time and have a life. The class sizes are small, so I was granted individual attention. Midstate instructor’s actually cared about helping me to succeed, and were always more than willing to help with any difficulties I was undergoing. The faculty and staff treat students like family and the atmosphere is a home away from home. Since graduating, Midstate College has given me the confidence to know I can go out into the work force an apply the skills and knowledge I gained from my program. The institution helped me build my self-esteem. This college even has life time career services for their graduates! I would strongly recommend Midstate College to anyone who is looking for an outstanding education and a desire to be pushed to their full potential.

I wouldn’t recommend Midstate College to anyone! They are nothing but money hungry scammers. I went there for longer than I would have liked because like anyone else I thought well I can always transfer out and be ok. WRONG!! I was going there for the better end of 2 ½ years and tried some online classes and didn’t do well so I went back to in class. I had one worse grade and they told me I could no longer go there. I thought ok fine I will go to CC and out of the 80 credits I took from midstate only 26.6 would transfer, so over 50 Credit hours mean nothing. (The Midstate College told me “well you had to of learned something from the classes.”) I know you are thinking “He is just bitter.” I thought so to until the advisor at CC told me it was bogus, told me out right “I should be furious”. They told me the classes were easy classes and that they didn’t mean anything and wouldn’t help. This college is not cheap!!! Look around before you sign up!! They require 190+ for bachelor’s degree wares every ware else are 120!!! They say it’s because they run on quarters! It’s just a way to get more money from you. And if that’s not enough the teachers they have there have other jobs like. Janitors and security!! I am not kidding. Do yourself a BIG BIG favor and just go ask another college!!! Go talk to a couple advisors at different college and see what they say it won’t cost you a dime. Better than going to a college for 2 ½ years and have they tell you “sorry there is nothing we can do.” They don’t care if you fail!! If you don’t believe me just ask your local CC. Go to a school worth attending. Even the hours they are open stink. Try going to the library on the weekend….NOPE they are closed!!! Try going to the library after night class….Nope they are closed. Would you pay 3,000+ dollars every 12 weeks for this?? I WOULD HOPE NOT!!
