Graduation Rate

Midlands Technical College graduation rate is below the national average.

9% of full-time students enrolled for the first time to Midlands Technical College completed the education program and got a degree in 150 percent of the expected time of completion.

The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.

Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes an extensive number of students. This index doesn’t take into consideration students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading perception. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare institutions.

Pulled me out of a class without even letting me know. Needed the summer credit to transfer and couldn’t even at least let me know they took me out of the class before it started. Communication skills are lacking and your on your own as soon as you make it into the school. Wish I would have known what I was getting into before I started taking classes here.update: I just bought a textbook from midlands tech and they sold me an access code for part of my textbook that has already been used. Also wouldn't put me back in a class i registered in enough time for because I missed the deadline for the payment of the classes which was less than 8 hours from when i registered for the class and there was no clear advertising of this date anywhere i saw as i was trying to sign up for classes. I attempted to get back into the class but between the few people who would actually answer their phones during office hours and those people sending me in circles trying to find the next person who can help me when all i needed was the first person i contacted to have a phone call with me. I left messages and called multiple times but only got responses in emails. That person sent me to a bunch of other people who couldn't help me with what i needed and it turns out she was the only one who could help me. I missed the deadline to get back into the classes due to "missing too much work" where it had only been one week since the class started but it would have been less time if someone could've answered my phone calls when I called instead of ignoring them and choosing to use emails which take a much longer time to resolve the kind of situation I was in. It also seems a little odd they can take my money on the weekends but not answer my calls and questions.

Never go here! They will ruin your life! They drop me from class because they couldn’t hold my classes due their slow financial aid process .Then these People still charged me for the classes I didn’t take! They sent it the IRS! Like I didn’t take the classes because you guys dropped me from my classes. Don’t do it please listen to me!

I have a $28.xx book from attending midlands tech some five years ago...I STILL HAVE IT, and didn't even realize it was a rental from midlands tech. If they would have just called me instead of giving it to collections I would've been more than happy to return it. A simple reminder could've gone a long way!!!! instead they turned me into a debt collector for a petty $28.xx instead of calling me. LAZY and really unacceptable considering that could've damaged my credit had I not answered the unknown number as per usual. I paid your lousy $28.xx, hope your happy.

Overall Rating:

Horrible school as far as office staff. Financial Aid always treats you like an idiot for not knowing something so I never call them with questions because I know exactly how it's going to go. Made complaints about the staff only to be met with less professionalism getting responses like "Um, okay. We'll talk to them." One of the men up there blamed me for deleting my own classes when I very clearly didn't and told me "Yes you did, Sweetheart." in the most condescending tone I've ever heard. They need customer service training ASAP. I understand it's difficult sometimes to deal with so many people but come ON. If I had other community college options nearby I wouldn't touch this school.
