    Graduation Rate

Mid-Atlantic Christian University graduation rate is below the national average.

46% of full-time students enrolled for the first time to Mid-Atlantic Christian University completed the education program and got a degree in 150 percent of the expected time of completion.

The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.

Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes a huge number of students. This indicator doesn’t consider students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading perception. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare educational institutions.

Would not recommend the online program. It was hit and miss in regards to instructors. Some instructors did not return emails often or grade assignments in a timely manner that would have encouraged learning. When “concerns” were raised, only explanations of the lack of professionalism were given. Little feedback given on assignments submitted. Some courses were outsourced and some course materials propmoted Neo-Marxism. The academic office was very helpful when I transferred and was flexible with much grace. When I was a student, the academic office was less than helpful, and registering for courses was difficult. IT personnel took little responsibility for issues related to online services. Lists of required textbooks are hard to find in advance and change (at times) when you are about to begin courses. I am sure MACU is great when you are an on-campus student and have seasoned faculty, but I wouldn’t recommend their online program.

You have to be very careful about this place. You don't get to relax much you have to be cautious all the time of what you say or do. There is plenty of judgment. A lot of people here are stuck on themselves. The counseling staff Is helpful. They are good at keeping up with you but not crowding you. They will help in any way possible. Student life is very fun to be around he's always ready to hop in and take suggestions but still stay focused. Most the classes are all hands on. You will do a lot of projects it's not just writing papers or doing simple task. Most of the classes are you going out and doing it and explain exactly how it was done.
