Graduation Rate

Marion Technical College graduation rate is below the national average.

18% of full-time students enrolled for the first time to Marion Technical College completed the education program and got a degree in 150 percent of the expected time of completion.

The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.

Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes an extensive number of students. This indicator doesn’t take into consideration students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading perception. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare educational institutions.

Student Reviews and Ratings for Marion Technical College

Overall Rating:

I would give this school zero starts if I could. This school is very unorganized and unprofessional. When they make mistakes and you can't take classes because of one of their errors, they say "I'm sorry, you can take it next semester." I would make the drive to North Central over Marion. Do not waste your time.

I would reccomend not going to this school. Its cheap, and that is exactly what you get, cheap. The school focuses more on the professors and not the student. You can only buy books online, and their schedule is not set up for those with full time jobs, and kids. My worse experience in college was with a math professor. Horrible. Run while you still can.

I have been going to this college 1 year and 9 months so far. I just started the Nursing program. I got put on a wait list last year because the program was full so just a heads up about that. That's not their fault though. My experience with MTC so far has been good. Of course there has been some minor issues, but you'll find that with any college. The staff and teachers have made my experience amazing though! I have loved the support and kind words that almost every single staff member has shown.

Do NOT go through this nursing program. Just take the few extra prerequisites that the other programs require and go somewhere else. This is the most unorganized program I've ever seen. They will reschedule clinicals and classes with absolutely no notice. They also give you lists of books to buy and change the required books the beginning of class. All they say when they mess up and change things around is "what do you want me to do, it's nursing school, you have to be flexible" it's nothing but frustration.
