Graduation Rate

Lubbock Christian University graduation rate is below the national average.

42% of full-time students enrolled for the first time to Lubbock Christian University completed the education program and got a degree in 150 percent of the expected time of completion.

The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.

Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes an extensive number of students. This index doesn’t take into account students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading perception. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare schools.

Overall Rating:

HORRIBLE EMPLOYER!!!!! They treat you like dirt if you are not a member of the Church of Christ. I was told that they had to write bad stuff on my evaluations, so they made stuff up. The head of the department moved to another position so they promoted another guy in University Advancement. In his previous position, he was hardly ever in the office and he barely talked to me. He was promoted to head of the department and decided to give everyone evaluations even though it wasn't time. He gave me a HORRIBLE evaluation, told me that I wasn't good enough to work there, that I was only good enough to work at the fast food restaurant across the street and THEN he asked me exactly what it was that I did at my job there. Then he waited 7 months to fire me and he lied to the unemployment office and had 2 lady's from HR lie as well, saying that they witnessed me quitting. But when I was fired, they gave me severance pay, which they would not have given me if I had quit. So the unemployment office quickly realized that they were lying and I was able to get unemployment. And they are supposed to be Christians? It is UNREAL how horrible they treated me!!!!! AVOID LCU AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT GO TO COLLEGE THERE AND DO NOT WORK THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TEXAS TECH UNIVERSITY is MUCH better!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Overall Rating:

Great place. Participated in Relay for Life there that they hosted. Support staff was college students. They were all very helpful and went out of their way, many times offering help before you knew that you needed it. It was great seeing younger adults volunteering their time and helping in an event that can be uplifting and emotionally draining at the same time. Thank you for reinforcing such great qualities in them. Also would like to thank the volleyball team. They were great with the children and adults alike. Seeing such compassion and empathy in the next generation of community leaders was awesome.

If I could do it all over, I would make the same decision. The administration, faculty, and staff truly work together for the students benefit. It is a place where I met some great people and where I received a quality education. The professors are some of the greatest people you will ever meet. Hands down it's a great university.
