Long Island Beauty School-Hempstead graduation rate is above the national average.

63% of full-time students enrolled for the first time to Long Island Beauty School-Hempstead completed the education program and got a degree in 150 percent of the expected time of completion.

The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.

Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes an extensive number of students. This index doesn’t take into consideration students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading picture. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare institutions.

Overall Rating:

This school is a SCAM ! I went here and applied for financial aid and NEVER RECEIVED ANYTHING ! Not to mention the “instructors” are incredibly unprofessional, the school is across the hall from a probation office, the tools are OUT DATED and the owner is a complete nitwit. Due to these awful conditions I was subjected to, I LEFT and now I’m being hounded like a deer in the woods over money I never received.. hmph I will be reporting his school and I’m resilient in getting this place SHUT DOWN .

Extremely racist school! I hated it got my license at another school. If you are a black female find a school that fits you better! As you can tell by the photos they don’t really cater to us.... lol I see since I wrote this your staff I’m sure struggled to find some pictures of minority’s to put up ! Please stop it this school is owned by an old white man who just wants your money ! As I said before find a school that caters to POC!!!

Overall Rating:

Very dishonest and greedy school, misguide people, if you drop off due to their wrong advice they go after you for rest of the money they want and will not refund you your money either. This is my personal experience. be careful of this school, I will not recommend this school to anyone. I will not give even 1 star if there is an option. They ruin people's credit for life long. Only they do this , other companies negative reporting is removed after 7 years but with them this is not the case, they keep renewing with credit companies as it just happened even after 10 years.

I visited last week for a Wash, Deep Treatment and a trim to even out my hair. My hair was gently and thoroughly washed, conditioned/ handled according to my hair type. (Which is 4C💪, my strands are coarser and more coily in its natural state) My hair was blow dried and flat ironed carefully and using heat protection. My stylist, trimmed my hair well and was considerate to ask how much was too much to trim. She had full license of course. My second time visiting this year. I'll be back! Thanks for the great experience!💇‍♀️
