Graduation Rate

Liberty University graduation rate is below the national average.

50% of full-time students enrolled for the first time to Liberty University completed the education program and got a degree in 150 percent of the expected time of completion.

The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.

Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes an extensive number of students. This index doesn’t take into consideration students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading picture. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare institutions.

Student Reviews and Ratings for Liberty University

Overall Rating:

Overall Rating:

My degree program is Licensed Professional counseling. I come on campus a few times throughout the year to fulfill my intensive requirement. I really love the school. The graciousness of the people. The teachers are so open and inviting!!

Overall Rating:

I am completing my Doctor of Ministry degree here. The faculty and staff are very personable and caring. The communication for on-line students is mostly timely; however, the faculty have many students with which to interact. I have found that visiting the campus and meeting with your professor personally is very helpful in establishing a rapport that creates increased trust and awareness of personal issues. These professors really do care about their students and want them to succeed; however, the student must do his or her part in reaching out to the professor if he or she has any issues or concerns. The primary reason I do not give Liberty University 5 stars is the tuition rates that seem more than necessary. But the education is quality and top notch.

Overall Rating:

I love being a grad student at Liberty. For undergrad I went to 5 different universities so I know the difference between a good and a great school and Liberty is definitely a great one. The staff is amazing whether it's caring professors or those on the phone they are always available to help. I've even gotten calls just to check in and see how my class is going and how the advising team can pray for me. If you are looking for a great education check out LU!

Overall Rating:

I've been a Liberty University student for a while now, but I just recently visited the campus for the first time. WOW! It is so big and beautiful! I love that Christianity is incorporated into the classes, work, and assignments. On campus, there are numerous Bible verses and contemporary Christian music playing. Just a really warm and welcoming place and I wish I lived closer so I could be on campus more often! The intensive team was very, very accommodating and the LMCC is a gorgeous facility. Can't say enough about LU!

Overall Rating:

As a student in the School of Divinity I will state that the professors are without a doubt amazing. The knowledge they desire to deliver to the students is filled with passion and intensity. They do not mind deeper discussion, and even push-back of different views if it can be supported. They have truly been an instrumental piece of growth in my life.
