Student Reviews and Ratings for Liberty University

Overall Rating:

I am a proud aLUm! I enjoyed my time at Liberty. The academics are challenging, yet rewarding because of the accessibility of the professors. The campus is beautiful. There are so many events and top class recreational facilities to go to.

Overall Rating:

I have spent 3 years at LU, and have consistently been impressed by the quality, rigor and real world preparation that my courses have provided. The professors are dedicated, in touch with the students and future members of our respective fields. The campus is beautiful and state of the art. Liberty and Lynchburg are comfortable places to call home. You will find good and bad at any institution. However, I would not trade my time, experiences or knowledge attained here for anything.

Overall Rating:

I have been an on-line student for Liberty University for a few years I have to be honest I am disappointed. What attracted me to Liberty University was that it illustrated it's love for Christ. However, I feel it's lack of compassion for it's students with more business focus makes it no greater than any other instituted University. I like many other students face unfortunate storms that may hinder academic performance and instead of getting the understanding and compassion needed when I explain my unfortunate circumstances I get the cold unemphatic solution that only hinders my future. If they want to proclaim to be Christ like perhaps they should consider all misfortunes and work with their students not give them more problems. Any University can stamp the name of Christ but it takes the action of being like Christ that makes any institute rise above. You are no better than other University (business).

Overall Rating:

Worst experience ever. So ill-trained representatives. I made a phone call and an online chat to see if they would allow me to take one course as a non-degree seeking student and they both said yes. One encouraged me to submit the application and I did. Few days later I made a phone call again because I had not received any response. The representative said I could not take that course because of their policy. The rep checked with the supervisor and director - "no". Although I showed them the transcript of the online chat, they merely just apologized and could not do anything. The worst was, the rep again encouraged me to complete application with required materials, and submit an appeal. I did, two weeks ago, and still got nothing back at all. If their administrative system is so terrible I assume their academic training would not be decent enough. Totally a waste of my time.

Overall Rating:

Studied at Liberty University for graduate in History. I must say the program is very challenging and at times I thought I might not be able get over hurdles academically but thru perseverance and hard work I was able to achieve my goal. The counselors, educators, professors are extremely professional informative and passionate. On campus personnel are helpful and go out of their way to make you part of the Liberty team. As a Army veteran they honor the service by word and deed. Discounts in tuition. Cool. They look after their students welfare. When I went to my graduation in May 2017, they helped me by letting me stay in the dorms when all hotels were full and funds were low. (Thank you!)The campus is absolutely huge, beautiful and growing. The leadership under Jerry Falwell Jr. is absolutely awesome. Putting Jesus first in all. Having President Donald Trump speak at our 2017 Commencement in May was historic, magnificent and motivating. Thank you Liberty University for a marvelous experience at my graduate education. God bless you all.
