ABOVE AVERAGE

Keystone Technical Institute graduation rate is above the national average.

70% of full-time students enrolled for the first time to Keystone Technical Institute completed the education program and got a degree in 150 percent of the expected time of completion.

The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.

Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes an extensive number of students. This index doesn’t consider students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading picture. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare institutions.

KTI is a complete joke. Snyder (President) is running a con job. They tell you that they take whatever of your financial aid that isn't used and send it back to the government for you (on your behalf). When I enrolled in HACC the people in the financial aid department told me that what KTI is doing on "your behalf" is infact illegal. One of their "rules" is that you may not wear any jacket, sweatshirt, or hoodie in class UNLESS it is trademarked with the KTI logo. The hoodie or sweat shirt will only cost a struggling college student $40 to stay warm in class. What a scam. Last but not least I was issued a set of strictly handtools which was paid for with my financial aid to the sum of $400. Told to take my tools home and write my name on them for identification. Told they were my tools but when they kicked me out I wasn't permitted to leave with my tools because they "didn't know if they had been paid for yet." Needless to say they had no choice but to return to me what was mine to begin with. Word to the wise DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT enroll at KTI. Anyone with any similar experience please join me in exposing them for the money hungry vultures they are.

Overall Rating:

High cost school to prepare you for low paying jobs you can get for free. The school preys on poor disadvantage students by promissing them well paying "careers". Well in reality you will make slightly more than minimum wage. The owner thinks he is curing cancer, when the reality is he power and money hungry. The teachers are mediocre at best. KTI reputation among employers is not good. Save your money and go to HACC.

I worked here for 4 years. The owner and instructors do care about giving the students a quality education and preparing them for the job market. As far a career schools go, this is one of the best.

Avoid at all cost....they are on the verge of going out of business and have cut programs and laid off faculty. They prey on the poor disadvantaged students by charging 3x the tuition for low paying jobs. KTI is like entertaining the the 13th grade of high school.
