Jean Madeline Aveda Institute graduation rate is above the national average.

The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.

Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes a huge number of students. This index doesn’t consider students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading perception. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare institutions.

Student Reviews and Ratings for Jean Madeline Aveda Institute

Overall Rating:

Overall Rating:

Having gone to Jean Madeleine for the first time in the mid-1990’s and then several times over the years I found the school on Chestnut St to be a great place to go to if I was in Philadelphia on business. I revisited the same location just recently and WOW I was so disappointed with the caliber of students and the atmosphere. I think that the founder of the school would be so disappointed at today’s Jean Madeleine.

Start to finish an amazing experience. The receptionist was super nice and welcoming and Hannah, my stylist was really sweet. She really listened to what I wanted and had a very professional opinion. The hair cut was exactly what I wanted and needed and it looks so good! I got a keratin treatment done and she gave a very labor intensive beautiful blow drying. Will definitely be back.

Overall Rating:

I've gotten my hair cut here for the past three years and couldn't be happier with the service and experience. Each time the student listened to my requests and delivered flawlessly. The instructors are helpful and efficient. Most recently I had my hair cut and styled by Brittany, who did a fantastic job! When asked how I wanted it styled I explained how desperate I am for volume and hard it is with my hair. She took time to do a "hard set" and it looked amazing! Thank you, Brittany!

I recently went in for a haircut with Molly, and she totally transformed my style. Her instincts were great, she was super personable, and she was really attentive to what I was looking for. The end product was fantastic and as a result, I've been getting lots of compliments! I'd highly recommend her and Jean Madeline. I'll definitely be going back!

Overall Rating:

Best experience in a Salon setting! Alexandra was not only very personable but worked hard to make sure not only my hair cut was outstanding but the overall experience was superb. Most Salons fail when it comes to teaching short hair and men’s style cuts, but Alexandra seemed to have a drive for working with fades and her shears. At $12 for Buzz cut and blending it is not only a deal but an amazing experience. For a walk in I will definitely be asking for Alexandra.
