Student Reviews and Ratings for Jameson Health System

Overall Rating:

Overall Rating:

Sharp and glossy registration does not mask the low level of care by the doctors. Nurses are locked into having the doctor to approve everything. Trying to file a complaint is useless as it falls to the nursing staff who only submit it to the doctors who wronged you in the first place and say there is nothing wrong. This place needs serious federal oversight and a complaint process that does more than parrot the doctor's I-am-God-you-cannot-sue-me response.

Brought my 10YO some in due to ear ache and having flue like symptoms. Right ear had blood in it possibly ruptured. At 11:30pm on 2/12/18. He did not even get into a room till 6:30am 2/13/18. Now it is 7:00 am and we still haven’t seen anyone. Definitely last time I will ever come here, for anything. I will be telling everyone about the experience. We just sat all night and watched druggies walk rite in. Un-acceptable. Trash on floor in waiting room. And at one point a lady kept moving closer to us until she was rite across from us than she stood up went to my son and tried to touch him while he tried to sleep, she had sores all over her hand whale the security guard just stood there and watched. He chuckled than went and sat behind the check in desk with nurse. When we did get a room there is blood on bottom of bed. This place is disgusting. Now going on to almost 9am. And still no meds. Dr. Was here for 5 minuets and gone. That was over 1/2 hour ago. And a lady came in asked if we seen any nurses. I said no. She said ok and left. Just keeps getting worse. Can I give it a ngitive 5 star.

Overall Rating:

Good service every time I've been there (for myself & our children). Clean, friendly place. Obviously, some of the bad reviews are from people who didn't get their way or are never happy with anything. Nothing but positive things to say about Jameson...let's hope (and pray) that UPMC continues the tradition of good community health care. P.S.....some of the people who wrote reviews can't even spell OR use proper grammar. Go figure!

Not sure if the negative posts are mostly prior to UPMC taking over, but I have nothing but good things to say about UPMC Jameson. My husband had hip replacement surgery 2 weeks ago. From the appointment schedulers on, every single contact was courteous and caring. We started with the folks in preop, surgical staff, recovery, physical and occupational therapy, and the nurses on the 2nd floor. All wonderful. Even the ladies in the gift shop. We had an hour ride to the hospital so I stayed, the nurses even cared about my comfort bringing me coffee and blankets, etc. Nothing but good things to say about the staff.

Overall Rating:

I can believe the low ratings at this hospital. Had outpatient surgery scheduled and was assured by dr. office would not be scheduled first thing in the morning as we had an hour and half drive and cannot see well in the dark to drive. notified today we are to be there at 7:30 am... guess when sunrise is... 7:30 am! Future surgeries will NOT be done there. Wish I had looked at the rating beforehand.
