Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes a huge number of students. This index doesn’t take into consideration students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading perception. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Student Reviews and Ratings for Iowa School of Beauty-Ottumwa
My granddaughters, ages 12 & 15, went to get acrylic nails last Friday. The nails looked horrible! Nails were clipped & filed crooked, polish had already chipped & polish on their fingers where they missed the nail! Glue used was the same stuff you buy at Walmart & the next day 2 nails fell off!! Hardly worth $67.00. And this mess was okayed by a supervisor! Never again!!Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
The students are very friendly. I love the color and cut of my hair! Thank you!Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
Loved having my hair done at Iowa School of Beauty. Jayme did a wonderful job. The girls were friendly & the atmosphere was very pleasant & clean.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
I had a scheduled apointment with a requested stylist, but when I got there 15 minutes early I had to wait an hour for some stylist I didn't request. I then was switched to the one I requested and she did my hair nothing like the picture. She took about 4 hours to finish dying my hair and when I got home I realized the entire back of my shirt was bleached and I had bleach spots on my shorts.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
The students do a good job cutting hair, some better than others. The nice thing is, an instructor checks on each cut, and if there's something wrong, they either have the student fix it, or the expert will fix it themselves. So you will get a good cut at a very good price. (just be sure to tip the kids a couple bucks; they won't ask for tips, but that's how they pay for school...)
