Graduation Rate

74%
ABOVE AVERAGE

International Business College-Fort Wayne graduation rate is above the national average.

74% of full-time students enrolled for the first time to International Business College-Fort Wayne completed the education program and got a degree in 150 percent of the expected time of completion.

The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.

Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes a huge number of students. This index doesn’t take into consideration students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading picture. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare educational institutions.

Overall Rating:

I graduate from thia college quite recently. I started back in 2016 as a student of the paralegal program. First off, this school has a nice education program along with great staff and career services. I must stress how career services is absolutely amazing. They stay on top of helping you find a job that you may succeed in and they will help you wherever possible. I did not go into my field and probably will not do so, but my CS rep was really trying to help me find a place in my field but it isn't for me. The reason my review is so low is definitely because of the higher powers at hand that run the school, and no, I am not referring to anyone who holds a position in the building. The 2016-2017 class has been through a lot of stress because of what fell on us through the school year. Many people went to this college for the purpose of the accelerated programs as well as the baccalauréat degree and that fell through after a few months of attending because the higher ups could not or would not update our education standards and the accreditation committee came in and took that away from us. I do understand that the college is a FOR PROFIT college and all but why short the education of those who wish to attend. I mean come on, We were in 2016-2017 and learning Microsoft Office 2010, like really, I know that not every company will be up to date with their software but this was one thing I found absurd. Another thing I find to be ridiculous is the fact that we have to pay the school $5 to receive our official college transcript. Does our $25,000+ debt to you not cover a transcript? Is this college really trying to cash out on us this badly? That's a joke right there. We all pay $25,000+ and the school doesn't put money to protect our network system either. There was a cyber attack that put our school computer systems down for what I believe was at least a week. The lack of security that our systems have put our private info at risk and could be easily prevent. I am going to be honest, I am hazy on the exact details of the attack, such as if it was directly at us or a system that we use, etc. All in all, I did have a good experience at this college and a lot of my concerns lied in the higher leveled powers that control the school. Their programs are great as are their staff. I hope this review gives you a great insight on the school.

I graduated from IBC in December of 2015. Everything was great and exactly what I thought it should be for the school and programs. It is small which I loved and everyone knows pretty much everyone. The teachers care very deeply about the school and their programs. After I graduated the job placement team found me several leads to apply for. Many people confuse it and they think they will get you a job, however they did exactly as I was told they would do which is give me leads to apply for after we talked about what I wanted to do and then I did the rest. I would recommend this school to anyone!!!!!!!! Thanks for everything!!!!!!!
