    Graduation Rate

    28%
    BELOW AVERAGE

Inter American University of Puerto Rico-Metro graduation rate is below the national average.

28% of full-time students enrolled for the first time to Inter American University of Puerto Rico-Metro completed the education program and got a degree in 150 percent of the expected time of completion.

The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.

Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes a huge number of students. This indicator doesn’t consider students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading perception. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare institutions.

Terrible university. The director of the history program convinced me to pay for a masters doctorate combo but I didn’t even finish a semester. No help, admin never answers the phone, professor unavailable, too conservative, unhelpful.

I have been through 4 different universities. This is the worst costumer experience in Puerto Rico and I work closely with local Government.

Graduated back in 1989 from IU metro campus(night school) , MBA degree . Many graduate business school professors at the time were working professionals with PHD's from leading universities (Yale, University of Chicago, Wharton Business School , NYU,UT, U of NY). It was an excellent learning opportunity, and environment, for working professionals as well as interested hard working students.

Admission process online is like pulling teeth. Extremely difficult to get a hold of anyone there. They won't return calls or emails. Even the rector failed to follow up, and showed no interest in helping.

      Overall Rating:

Very big university. My only complaint is how the headmasters of each program have a tendency of not answering future prospects (students) when it comes to wanting to enter a program. They need to work on their communication, but other than that it's ranked top for receiving education in PR.
