Student Reviews and Ratings for Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine
Most of the staff was very polite and kind, however, I do not agree with the way Information Technology is taught. It is 95% self motivation and teaching yourself. I truly feel bad for the people who paid (luckily i was in high school when i went) because they could've done the same thing in the comfort of their home. You were practically forced into SkillsUSA and had to go to the competitions even if you had work. I would highly recommend all other programs aside from the IT program unless the instructor leaves, let go, or if that instructor changes her teaching style.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
The entire staff was absolutely fantastic during my time there, with the exception of my instructor. I expected more of an actual teacher coming into the class, but in the end, it was roughly 90% of my own self-motivation that let me accomplish what I did. Not only that, but she was also incredibly petty and had to be stricken from my resume after I discovered she had been giving bad references because I could not afford to spend a week away for a competition. I'd highly recommend this institute to anybody with the exception of the Information Technology class until the instructor there is either replaced or doesn't let the students get the best of her, no matter how apathetic they may be. I cannot emphasize enough how terrific the rest of the staff was. I'd give it a full five stars if I could, but this one person soured my experience there. Best of luck to any current and future students.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
Great study vibe, snacks, clean restrooms and top of the line technology/computer lab.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
